









































OCT. 17TH & 18TH: Basic Stone Setting Workshop
Note: This is a two-part class, three hours the first session and five hours the second session.
TIME: Friday, October 17th 5-8pmand Saturday, October 18th10am-3pm
This intensive workshop is meant for those who want to learn how to set stones, learn how to customize their own jewelry designs, or refine their stone setting skills. No silversmithing experience is required.
LOCATION: 535 W. Deer Drive, Unit #513
CLASS DETAILS:In this workshop, students will learn how to fabricate a simple ring with a bezel setting. We will focus on building a strong foundation for learning the tools, equipment, and safety, as well as the basics of bezel-making, fabrication and stone setting. No additional fancy components, borders, etc. Skills include: sawing, filing, sanding, texturing, soldering, stone setting, polishing and more!
ALL INCLUDED: Materials for one basic silver ring per student: milled sterling silver wire and sheet, cabochon stone & consumables (sandpaper, polishing compound, saw blades, etc.) Students are welcome to bring their own stones, or purchase higher quality stones at the studio. Personal protective equipment provided.
WHAT TO BRING:
Water bottle (we have a refill station)
Notebook
Mug for tea
Some snacks, seltzer and tea will be available during class, feel free to bring your own!
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Closed toe shoes (boots/sneakers are okay, leather shoes preferred)
Natural fiber clothing (denim, cotton, etc)
No loose clothing
Hair must be tied back
Jewelry must be removed
Safety glasses must be worn (provided)
Age 18+
