CLASS DETAILS:
Private group silversmithing workshop to create silver bezel stone settings for a ring or pendant. Students will learn how to use tools and fabricate jewelry out of sterling silver sheet, wire and cabochons (flat-backed, polished gemstones). Skills will include sawing, filing, sanding, shaping, texturing, soldering, polishing, stone setting and more. No experience required.
WHEN:
Date and times can be requested upon purchase and we’ll work with your group to accommodate. This workshop can meet in one or two sessions. Duration of sessions will depend on group size. We estimate about 4-8 hours, but timing is subject to change.
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
Materials, tools, PPE and instruction are provided, and all students will walk away with a handmade piece of jewelry. A collection of cabochons are included and available to students, there are some for purchase, or students are welcome to bring and use their own.
